Research Assistant I/II in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 531114) (to commence as soon as possible for one-year temporary term contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in public health, nursing, health sciences or medicine-related disciplines, with at least one year’s work experience. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility. Experience in medical research, statistical analysis and blood-taking would be an advantage.

The appointee will assist in the implementation of a community-based study in Hong Kong. He/She will recruit participants, administer questionnaire, collect clinical specimens including but not limited to blood draws, conduct health education, and carry out active surveillance of illnesses. He/She will be expected to co-author and author scientific publications. Irregular working hours will be required occasionally. Information about the School can be obtained at https://sph.hku.hk/.
