Mandrel is an inventory automation platform for consumer products businesses. Our platform uses AI to extract and understand data from inventory and logistics documents, automating key processes like landed cost tracking, inventory accounting, financial reporting, and purchase order planning. About This Role

We are looking for a motivated NYC-based Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our team as a key member of the growing engineering function. This individual will report to and partner closely with the Founder, while working directly with advisors, consultants, and design partners to build and launch our initial customer offering. In the process, you’ll become a knowledge expert across both B2B and SaaS, partnering cross-functionally with entrepreneurs, operations leaders, designers, engineers, and investors.

This is a high-impact, high-agency role that presents a unique opportunity to make decisions that shape the technical trajectory of a business. You are an ideal candidate if you are looking to join an exceptional team and play a significant role in the growth and success an early stage startup.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in product discussions, scope projects and translate requirements and decisions into stories
  • Design, document, and build systems from concept to prototype
  • Research and build integrations with various back-of-house commerce platforms
  • Build and maintain internal and public-facing APIs

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industry software engineering experience
  • Creative, self-driven, and has a strong focus on product and customer experience
  • Has a growth mindset
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments
  • Experience building and shipping data-intensive web applications
  • Experience with Typescript on NestJS and Next.js with Postgres (preferred but not required)
