$17.99 – $27.89 Hourly

$37,422 – $58,003 Annually

Due to the available budget allocated for this position, the hiring rate will not exceed $22.93 per hour.

Why does the job exist?

This position will assist the Director and Deputy Director with day-to-day duties, along with tracking inventory, positions and disciplines to include other duties as assigned. This position will support the Health Service Bureau in the form of administrative services so as to enable the Bureau to perform oversight and strategic planning responsibilities in an efficient manner. This position will receive and respond to complaints and inquiries that may come in from multiple sources via mail, phone, or email. This will include logging complaints appropriately perhaps in multiple places and completing all required paperwork. The incumbent will make sure the complaint is investigated in a timely manner so that the results may be communicated back to the original sender of the complaint.

  • Schedule and take minutes for meetings
  • Complete internal purchase requisitions and travel requests
  • Maintain staff roster
  • Answer main line and maintain mail
  • Receive and review medical contractor’s bi-weekly staffing reports
  • Prepare purchase request for supplies

Experience in the following

  • Customer service and serving client needs
  • Inventory management
  • Medical paperwork and contracts

Minimum Qualification

High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of related experience in office administration. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling one (1) year may substitute for the required experience.

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver’s License. Employment is subject to a pre-employment background investigation and is conditional pending results.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an adult prison environment, which includes daily contact with inmates. Willingness to work in a correctional facility, may be required to work odd hours, overtime, holidays, and weekends.
