About The Role

We are seeking a Digital Asset Portfolio Manager specializing in cryptocurrency markets and digital asset trading. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in crypto futures, perpetual contracts & spot trading, as well as the quantitative skills necessary to develop, analyze and execute automated strategies effectively in the digital asset space. A deep understanding of risk hedging for basis trading and familiarity with crypto markets and exchange integrations is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the trading P&L book, including daily operations, real-time strategy execution, and portfolio oversight.
  • Build and execute trading strategies, including idea generation, back-testing, and implementation, while adhering to advanced risk management metrics.
  • Liaise with key exchange counterparts to address margin requirements, borrows, trade breaks, technical issues, and market-making needs.
  • Collaborate with the product and business development teams to ensure strategies are viable, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Work with the engineering team to fully automate trading strategies and integrate them into robust trading systems.
  • Stay at the forefront of cryptocurrency and blockchain trends, incorporating new insights into trading strategies.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in developing, executing, and managing trading strategies, including delta-neutral and basis trading, preferably in crypto markets
  • Prior experience in a traditional finance (TradFi) trading desk is a big plus
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python or similar & SQL/NoSQL databases for strategy development and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with trading platforms such as Deribit, Binance, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of trading dynamics, including arbitrage, funding rates, and futures/spot market relationships.
  • Soft Skills: Entrepreneurial mindset with a team-player attitude, focused on driving organizational success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to diverse audiences.

This role is based in New York, and will be expected to work from our New York office in a hybrid model Monday – Wednesday.

Pursuant to Section 8-102 of title 8 of the New York City administrative code, the base salary range for this role is $200,000 – $225,000. Total compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
