In a nutshell

Known internally as an Employee Relations Specialist, you’ll join our #Amazing people relations team accountable for providing leaders with expert, trusted and comprehensive advice supporting all employee relations issues/cases.

In this role, you will advise and coach leaders clearly and effectively on employee relations processes, considering the legal, financial, and PR risks and the company’s needs. In addition, you will be responsible for delivering change projects (restructures, redundancies, TUPE, and changes to terms and conditions) following the design approval by the Organisational Effectiveness team.

Day to day

  • Building and managing positive working relationships with leaders of all levels.
  • Identifying legal, financial, PR and Company risks and providing options and recommendations.
  • Creating employee relations processes, letters and leader guides.
  • Advising and coaching leaders clearly and effectively on the delivery of restructures, redundancies, TUPE and changes to terms and conditions, including individual and collective consultation, taking into account the legal, financial and PR risks, along with the needs of the Company and being Most Loved.
  • Identifying trends in opportunity to upskill leaders by creating and delivering Company wide and bespoke employee relations workshops.
  • Evaluating data to continuously enhance the employee relations journey.
  • Managing of the Company’s income protection process (IPS).
  • Supporting ad hoc people team projects, including conducting exit interviews.
  • Managing settlement agreements.
  • Always ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity.

About you

You will have significant experience of providing advice, guidance and support to leaders on a range of employee relations issues/cases, including change projects, in a large commercially focused organisation. Effective case planning experience, taking ownership of multiple and varied employee relation cases timely and efficiently to assimilate and analyse information from difference sources quickly and accurately. With proven experience demonstrating adaptivity in a busy and fast paced environment.

You will have proven employment law knowledge and have the ability to analyse legal risks.

In addition, you will be confident in having difficult and sensitive conversations with leaders of all levels and being able to question, challenge and influence. Demonstrable delivery of people projects along with knowledge of employment law and Level 5 CIPD (desirable).
