About the Role:
Superluminal Medicines, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Research Associate with experience in GPCR pharmacology and drug discovery to join our growing and dynamic Biology team. We are a target and biology-first drug discovery organization leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) to address common bottlenecks in drug development while integrating biology, chemistry, and computation.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and perform in vitro assays to support drug discovery programs with precision and attention to quality to generate high quality data.
- Troubleshoot and analyze experimental data with a high degree of scientific integrity.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Accurately document experimental data in laboratory notebooks and computer files, adhering to established quality and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate experimental results effectively in written and oral formats to interdisciplinary teams, including computational biologists and machine learning scientists.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and develop new experimental methods based on existing literature.
- Present findings at team meetings.
Requirements:
- BS/MS in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field, with 2–5 years of relevant laboratory experience in GPCR pharmacology or drug discovery.
- Strong hands-on experience in biochemical, cellular, and/or binding assays with the ability to ensure high-quality assay data.
- Familiarity with GPCR biology, Pharmacology is essential.
- Excellent laboratory skills, including cell culture, preparation of reagents, and the use of laboratory instrumentation and related software.
- Ability to work independently to follow experimental designs and troubleshoot experiments.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive work ethic.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Small molecule experience is a bonus but not required.
This is a lab-based position that requires a hands-on, innovative approach to advancing discovery efforts.
