Joyce University is currently hiring for an experienced higher education leader to join our growing team as Registrar. The Registrar will play a pivotal role in the delivery of Joyce University’s strategic plans for education and the student experience. They will work in partnership with many campus departments in leading the coordination of the student experience from induction through to graduation – encompassing services for students, including student academic record maintenance, student advisement, retention, and career placement – and activities relating to the student experience. The Registrar supervises various record activities such as registration, scheduling, transcripts, grades, enrollment verification, monitoring student progress, and degree audits. This position will be remote with some periodic travel to our Draper, UT campus as needed.

What You Do Everyday

  • Overall management of student records, including maintaining compliant student records.
  • Provide training for student records personnel.
  • Conduct department audits for student files.
  • Implement and maintain master student schedule.
  • Develop department initiatives related to student experience.
  • Monitor Satisfactory Academic Progress for students
  • In collaboration with other departments, set and meet strategic goals including retention, graduation rates, Licensure rates, placement rates, population capacity, advisement and other goals related to outcomes and the overall student experience.
  • Implement new innovative strategies to enhance the success of the team and organization.
  • Hire, train and supervise the Student Records staff
  • Coordinate graduation preparation as it relates to eligibility and honors.
  • Serve as liaison to other departments for student record issues and student progress toward degree earning.
  • Assist with campus IPEDS reporting data and ABHES annual reporting.
  • Provide data on key metrics using the Student Information System (SIS) upon request.
  • Attend weekly Student Success meetings.
  • Identifying challenges and opportunities to improve processes and performance?– using data to prioritize decisions and propose new enhancements around technology, student outreach, data and reporting based on trends you decipher from your analysis.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with academic partners, to ensure effective processes are in place and best practices are shared.
  • Assist with the oversight of the student information system (SIS) and processes used by the organization in the administration of student records and registration.
  • Provide SIS training for other departments and leadership upon request.
  • Assist in coordinating and supporting campus events including but not limited to registration, orientation, graduation, etc.
  • Provides student support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Required education: Bachelors degree

Preferred education: Master’s degree

Required experience: Must have several years of higher education leadership experience

Preferred experience: Experience working with Anthology and developing and enhancing student experience
