Essential Job Functions
Complex Employee Relations Management
- Resolve Complex Issues: Address and resolve high-level and complex employee relations issues, including sensitive complaints, disputes, and grievances.
- Investigate Allegations: Lead thorough and impartial investigations into serious employee complaints, including harassment, discrimination, and misconduct, documenting findings, and recommending appropriate actions.
- Strategic Advising: Provide strategic advice to senior management on complex employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and legal compliance.
Policy Development and Strategy Implementation
- Develop Policies: Lead the development and refinement of employee relations policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices and legal requirements.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to improve employee relations and foster a positive organizational culture.
- Policy Review: Regularly review and update policies and procedures to reflect changes in laws, regulations, and organizational needs.
Leadership and Mentorship
- Mentor Junior Staff: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior HR staff, sharing expertise and best practices.
- Training and Development: Design and deliver advanced training programs for managers on complex employee relations issues, legal compliance, and effective conflict resolution techniques.
Legal and Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure Legal Compliance: Oversee compliance with employment laws, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring that all ER practices and procedures meet legal requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to employee relations issues and develop proactive measures to mitigate these risks.
Reporting and Analysis
- Analyze Data: Analyze trends and data related to employee relations issues to identify root causes, track resolution effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
- Prepare Reports: Generate detailed reports for senior management on employee relations trends, key issues, and strategic initiatives.
Employee Engagement and Communication
- Foster Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Facilitate Communication: Act as a liaison between employees and management, facilitating effective communication and ensuring that employee voices are heard.
Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Incumbent is accountable for professional working behavior to include; building and maintaining constructive working relationships, implementing proactive and concise communication, acting as a resource to colleagues, and engaging in collaborative thinking and problem solving while demonstrating CSG’s core competencies and values.
Understands and adheres to all applicable regulations, laws (including the Bank Secrecy Act), card association rule, CSG Security and Compliance standards as referenced in internal policies and procedures including the Information Security, Acceptable Use, Code of Conduct, and other corporate policies.
Keeps abreast of all applicable regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
An employee may perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities as needed.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field or equivalent experience. A Master’s degree or HR certification (such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is a plus
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in HR or employee relations roles, with a proven track record of managing complex employee relations issues and implementing strategic initiatives.

- Advanced conflict resolution and mediation skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and mentor staff.
- Knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and best practices in employee relations.
- Ability to use a personal computer. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment.
