Salary: £12.82 – £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and supportive school in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of students by providing tailored support and encouragement in their learning and development.

Responsibilities Of a Teaching Assistant

• Support the classroom teacher in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Work one-to-one or in small groups with students who need additional support.
• Assist with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and administrative tasks.
• Encourage positive behaviour and foster a supportive atmosphere for learning.
• Provide assistance to students with their academic, social, and emotional needs.

Requirements Of a Teaching Assistant

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children is preferred but not essential.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children’s education.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply for one.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
