The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for bridging business needs and technical solutions in our pension systems environment. The ideal candidate will translate client requirements into detailed specifications, design user-centric solutions, and support development teams using Agile methodology. This role combines technical expertise with business administration to deliver effective solutions while ensuring quality throughout the development lifecycle.
This role is 100% remote.
What you’ll do
- Translate business requirements into detailed specifications
- Participate in the high-level design solution and estimation process
- Design the solution for the software product in line with the solution architecture and technical roadmap
- Work closely with the development team to define the functional specifications and system modifications required to meet objectives (including non-functional requirements)
- Provide technical support and leadership in the event of escalation of incidents or service interruptions to ensure that they are resolved effectively
- Design intuitive solutions that add value to users
- Breakdown development items into small increments that benefit users, in collaboration with the Software Product Owner (SPO)
- Produce documentation for the user community (such as release notes)
- Document designs within allotted timeframes
- Work with Developers and QA to ensure that the detailed design is fully understood, and the development initiatives are in line with the design
- Support delivery teams (dev and QA) to ensure quality deliveries
What you bring
- Have a degree in business analysis, administration, actuarial mathematics, computer science, or another relevant field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business analysis
- Have a very good capacity for synthesis and great ease in understanding, systematizing, and popularizing technical concepts-Have strong analytical skills
- Ability to understand and use common computer technologies
- Have an Agile mindset and methodology knowledge
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in English, both orally and in writing
- Experience with pension administration systems (Defined Contribution) will be considered a strong asset
