Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Maintenance Specialist. This position maintains the exterior of facilities and roadways by trimming trees and brush from streets and bridges, assists various maintenance crews during emergency conditions, picks up and removes trash, and ensures lights are operating properly. Assists in the sign shop by helping to fabricate signs, assists with the installation and repair of signs, performs light street maintenance, builds barricades and hauls and unloads materials. Performs related duties by assisting with the installation of temporary barricades and may flag to direct traffic, maintains daily records of work performed and communicates with other departments. Performs related duties as assigned.

Candidates must have the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, and office processes. No experience is required. Must have a level of education equivalent to four years of high school. Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Operator’s Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
