Job Contributions And Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Accomplishing the project objectives.
  • Develop project plans that identify and respect resource and budgetary needs.
  • Host project meetings at least once a week with team and managers to provide feedback, advice, project updates and encouragement to team members and to keep the project on course.
  • Strive to maintain the progress, mutual interaction and tasks of the various parties in such a way that reduces the risk of overall failure, maximizes benefits, and minimizes costs.
  • Manage deadlines and push the team to ensure timeliness.
  • Accountable for maintaining scope, budget and timelines

Project Planning

  • Responsible for facilitating the planning, and execution of the project.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed.
  • Ensure that the project’s objectives, schedules, and team assignments are clear.
  • Identify and acquire the appropriate resources.
  • Plan and control the project’s budget.

Progress Reporting

  • Be the first point of contact for any issues or discrepancies arising from the core project team, before the problem escalates, as the key project representative.
  • Monitor team progress.
  • Manage communication related to the project.

  • Technology principles and practices (including the full software development life cycle, requirements management, IT change management, and issue management / resolution)

  • Build and maintain an ongoing positive business relationship across key business stakeholders, all levels of internal and external management, vendors and/or agency personnel.
  • Visualize and understand alternative options to complex problems – what the ROI, efficiency gains and timing implications with each alternative to leadership, stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Present and communicate complex ideas and implications in succinct, business and user-friendly language, either verbal or written.
