The Role
ALS Laboratories in Ely are looking for Maternity Cover for our Client Support Technician. In this role, you will deliver exceptional support to clients and ensuring efficient service operations. Acting as the main point of contact, you will handle client communications, manage requests, and provide updates to maintain strong relationships. Responsibilities include overseeing the accurate registration of samples, performing quality control checks, and ensuring smooth collaboration between teams to meet client expectations. You will also play a key role in maintaining a clean and organized laboratory, supporting visitor management, and addressing client needs in partnership with the Sales Team and Site Management.

Hours Per Week: 40
Days Per Week: Monday to Friday 08.00 -17.00
Contract: Full Time & Maternity Cover
Annual Salary: £24,378 + £1000 GMP allowance per annum
The day to day
- Provide support to Client Service and Sample Registration Teams.
- Act as primary client contact, managing communications via email, phone, and on-site greetings.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless client service delivery.
- Handle client requests, manage expectations, and escalate issues to Senior Management when needed.
- Perform sample registration, quality control checks, and ensure adherence to procedures.
- Maintain clean lab areas, complete accurate paperwork, and follow safety and quality protocols.
- Liaise with Sales Team and Site Management to address client issues and key accounts.
- Support visitor and contractor management while promoting company values and goals.
The Essentials
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficient analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work with precision.
- Basic IT skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and internal IT systems.
- Team player with excellent client-focused communication skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and resourceful with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
