POSITION: Assistant Professor in the Education Department. (Tenure-track)

Responsibilities: The primary responsibility is to teach in and coordinate the Educational Leadership Master’s program for Vermont State University. This program is designed to enable graduates to achieve a Principal endorsement. Coordination of the program requires year-round collaboration with field partners as well as other duties, such as accreditation record keeping, data collection, and maintenance of spreadsheets. The successful candidate will also be able to teach classes in undergraduate education, collaborate with the department to maintain and expand programming, and maintain compliance with state education standards. They will also advise education majors. Commitment to college teaching excellence, scholarship, and service to the University are required.

Requirements

The successful candidate for this position will possess expertise and experience in educational leadership, including having earned education leadership licensure. Doctorate preferred, but other candidates with considerable experience will be considered, including doctoral candidates with a plan for completion. Experience teaching at the college level is preferred. A successful candidate will share the VTSU Education belief in an inclusive education.
