How this role drives the company forward:

The Associate Product Manager is a technical expert who assists in managing a portfolio of products through the product life cycle. This includes supporting the product launch process, working with senior marketing team members to develop launch plans and promotional activities to drive sales, and assisting in the development and delivery of technical trainings to our worldwide sales team. The Associate Product Manager will develop the necessary skills to appropriately position products, set pricing strategies, and effectively promote the sales of products in their area of responsibility. The Associate Product Manager must have a passion for learning, a strong technical understanding of the area of responsibility, be a good communicator, and have above average writing skills.

The Associate Product Manager role is office-based.

Approximately 5% travel may be required.

How you will make an impact:

In this role, you are responsible for managing a broad portfolio of products including reagents and kits to support cell and gene therapy research and other molecular biology workflows. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of biomolecular research workflows, including having performed these workflows in their academic training or post-academic experience. In this role, you will demonstrate a creative approach to drive results and build relationships with your colleagues in operations, R&D, sales and marketing. This is an ideal role for someone with good technical skills and a scientific or operational background, looking to learn new product management skills and apply those skills on the job.

What will you do:

  • Support the implementation of tactical marketing plans.
  • Manage the product lifecycle for your assigned products.
  • Participate in the creation of new content for the website.
  • Help to conduct outbound marketing activities that promote our product portfolio and expertise to target customers.
  • Learn how to analyze key performance metrics from marketing campaigns.
  • Work with senior marketing members to launch new products and retire old products.
  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

How will you get here?

  • Requires an M.S. or Ph.D. in biological sciences or related discipline.
  • Requires minimum of 3 years experience (post-doctoral experience is acceptable toward meeting those requirements).
  • Ability to present information with clear written and verbal communication skills is required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team is required.

The US base salary range for this full-time position, expected to be located in San Jose, CA, is $125,000 – $135,000 USD. This range may be modified at any time at our sole discretion.
