About QIMR Berghofer

QIMR Berghofer is a world-leading translational medical research institute focused on improving health by developing new diagnostics, better treatments and prevention strategies, specifically in the areas of Cancer, Infection and Inflammation, Brain and Mental Health, and Population Health. Based in Herston, Brisbane and working in close collaboration with clinicians and other research institutes, QIMR Berghofer is home to more than 600 scientists, students and non-research staff.

About The Stores Team

The QIMRB Stores are a small team attached to Information and Facilities Department. The team provides support to 600 scientists, students, non-research staff & tenants.

Role Purpose / Responsibilities

Applications are invited for the role of Stores Customer Service Officer.

To be successful in the position requires you to have the following skills/experience but limited too:

  • Demonstrate reconciliation and problem solving skills in relation to receipt of freight deliveries and inventory.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a small team.
  • Experience in providing customer service support and issue inventory stock to our customer.

About You

You are required to have :

  • Minimum of 1 year working experience in a warehousing and freight services role
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate tact, discretion and respect
  • Demonstrated reconciliation and problem solving skills involving receipt of freight deliveries and inventory
  • Good computer skills and experience using inventory management systems.
  • High level of customer service orientated focus
  • Good understanding of OH&S issues involved in stores and receiving areas
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team or autonomously

Remuneration: Salary range is $63,916 to $68,360 p.a. plus super and salary packaging. This is a full-time permanent appointment.
