Maine Beer Company is looking for a Communications Coordinator. This person will communicate our brand and voice through high-quality writing and photography for social media, maintain our website and communicate with both our staff and the public. The Communications Coordinator will report directly to the Creative Director. This position is based out of our office in Freeport, ME and is a full-time salaried position. All full-time employees receive benefits consisting of 100% paid medical insurance, at least three weeks paid time off per year, paid life and short-term disability insurance, dental and vision insurance, and more.
Responsibilities
Social Media
- Plan, schedule, manage and produce all content for social media
- Write on-brand copy for posts and stories in the Maine Beer Company voice
- Provide high-quality photography for all posts with DSLR camera
- Respond to DM’s, comments, engagement on social media platforms’
- Amplify the stories and projects of our nonprofit partners
Communications
- Craft and publish regular public-facing newsletters
- Support regular wholesaler communication and other Sales department requests
- Produce and publish weekly staff newsletter
- Write copy as needed for website, signage, campaigns, promotional materials
- Respond to requests from the public, press and media
Website
- Maintain and update the website
- Produce and maintain up-to-date, high-quality photography
Other
- Maintain and organize Dropbox and photo archive
- Support offsite events throughout the year
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Have a deep understanding of the Maine Beer Company brand and voice
- Develop and follow timelines to ensure projects are completed on time
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud
- Proficient with DSLR camera
- Meticulous with a keen eye for the smallest details
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Creative problem solver
- Take direction from and report to Creative Director
