The Human Resources Coordinator is a key role within the Human Resources function and provides administrative and project coordination support for the HR team. This role provides great exposure to all aspects of HR and plays an integral role in attracting, supporting, developing and empowering our most valuable assets, our people.

Responsibilities

  • Entering and maintaining assigned employee data into company systems, including new employee requests, job changes, and separations.
  • Collecting, tracking, documenting and uploading pertinent info to personnel files.
  • Assisting with tracking performance management process milestones and compliance.
  • Setting up and facilitating in-person and virtual training and orientation sessions for all new hires.
  • Coordinating with managers and departments for first week onboarding plans for all new hires.
  • Assisting with building administrative needs.
  • Collaborating with internal departments and external stakeholders, as appropriate.
  • Researching and answering employee questions.
  • Assisting with company wide events as needed.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred.
  • 1 year of experience as an HR Coordinator or HR Intern, preferred.
  • Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills.
  • Understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Experience with Workday is a plus.

Base Hourly Range: $22/hour – $24/hour
