Job Description
- Core Functions
- Performs various types of testing on the Core Applications, associated utilities/facilities, FAS, and Connectivity Projects such as, but not limited to, Sanity (one-pass) Testing, Functional, Regression, Co-Existence, Migration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on Test / Model environments, and documents test results by filling out of the Release Forms;
- Uses software-testing tools to improve and automate the testing process cycle;
- Performs type approval testing for hardware and third-party software on functionality, compatibility/reliability and performance of such with Core Applications, FAS, and Connectivity Projects, and documents test results by preparing the SQA Test Report Form;
- Identifies, verifies and validates required test documents, and reports defects to the Sr. SQA Engineer / SQA Engineer for review;
- Monitors and follows-up status of reported defects with Applications Development Analysts/Web Applications Development Analysts until its closure, and prepares the Release Forms for documentation;
- Identifies, verifies and validates required test documents and reports requirement clarifications to the Sr. SQA Engineer / SQA Engineer for review;
- Identifies, verifies and validates required test documents and reports hardware incompatibility issues or other hardware related issues to the Sr. Technical QA Engineer for review and recommendation;
- Replicates production/site-reported errors or issues in QA-test environments with detailed step by step procedures and screenshots provided;
- Escalates application issues to Sr. SQA Engineer / SQA Engineer and hardware issues or those that are related to incompatibility, reliability and hardware functionality to Sr. Technical QA Engineer;
- Checks parameter values/variables used by Applications Development Analysts/Web Applications Development Analysts in the Request for System Update (RSU) scripts to ensure correctness of data update once it gets implemented; and,
- Creates and prepares the SQA testing reports, Build Status reports, monthly module accomplishments and other QA-related ad-hoc reports, and submits the said reports to the Sr. SQA Engineer / SQA Engineer.
Minimum Qualifications
- College graduate of Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering or any IT related course.
- Has at least 2 years in software testing
- With knowledge in basic programming and SQL
