Job Overview

We are seeking a Transport Officer to join our team at Podar Education Network in Nanded. This mid-level, full-time position requires an individual committed to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our transportation services. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our transport operations, ensuring smooth logistics to support our educational services.

Qualifications And Skills

• Proficiency in route planning to ensure optimal travel paths and time efficiency for school transportation services.
• Strong experience in driver management to oversee driver recruitment, training, and performance evaluation effectively.
• Comprehensive understanding of transport management to ensure smooth and safe operations of vehicles within the fleet.
• Excellent documentation skills for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records pertaining to transportation services.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle maintenance which ensures the fleet is in top condition and ready for operation.
• Experience in fees collection, handling financial transactions related to transport services effectively and securely.
• Skill in ensuring safety (Mandatory skill), focusing on the prevention of accidents and adherence to regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students to address transport-related queries and issues.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Develop and implement efficient transport routes for school buses, ensuring minimal travel time for students.
• Manage a team of drivers, overseeing their daily activities and ensuring adherence to safety standards and protocols.
• Co-ordinate the maintenance schedule for all vehicles, ensuring they remain in good working order and meet safety regulations.
• Ensure timely collection of transportation fees, maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
• Monitor and evaluate transportation operations for compliance with organizational policies and government regulations.
• Address transportation-related issues or emergencies as they arise, providing solutions effectively and efficiently.
• Prepare reports detailing transport operations performance, improvement areas, and necessary action plans.
• Foster a safe and positive environment for all transportation users through effective management and communication strategies.
