Role Description
The Director, Program Management will be responsible for the overall coordination and execution of multiple Ocean Aero customer programs. This will include leading customer interactions, managing program performance, cost, revenue, cash flow, schedule, proposal development, and working alongside technical leads on a variety of unmanned technologies.

This role will report to the Chief Operating Officer of Ocean Aero.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day execution of multiple projects to satisfy cost, schedule, and technical performance
- Review project contracts and statements of work to develop detailed work breakdown structures
- Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate risks associated with projects and communicate risk to customer and management
- Recognize project scope change and communicate cost, schedule, and technical execution impacts with customer and management
- Participate in bid and proposal activities. Ensure that the customer needs are met and that the technical and costing documents are prepared in a timely manner.
- Perform business development tasks and identify future opportunities
Role Requirements
- B.S. or B.A. in a related technical field from an accredited university
- 5+ years’ experience in program management
- Broad technical experience with software, mechanical, and electronics systems
- Experience as a technology developer or system integrator of products/programs for Government customers.
- Strong experience in leadership, problem-solving, performing analysis and making trade-off decisions, and achieving program and business goals
- Experience in commonly used project management strategies and personnel management practices
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with MS Project and MS Office tools
- Ability to work closely and build relationships with engineering teams and management
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- US Government position. US Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD US Secret Clearance
- Possess a valid Transportation Worker Identity Credential (TWIC) or successfully pass the requirements to obtain one
- Successfully pass drug test, background check, and motor vehicle screening
Role Preferences
- Relevant experience in unmanned or autonomous systems
- M.S. in Program Management or other related Program Management certificates
- Understanding of software development environments and common software languages
