Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Material Handler-II to join our warehouse team. This role requires a candidate with receiving and inventory control experience who can take on additional responsibilities in inventory coordination and team support. Material Handler-II will oversee accurate and efficient receipt, inspection, and processing of shipments, collaborating with internal teams to maintain high inventory standards and support the training of fellow Material Handlers.

  • This position is for 1st Shift from 7:00am to 3:00pm**

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, validating the accuracy and quality of goods against purchase orders and reports.
  • Lead the team in maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all received items in the inventory management system.
  • Conduct in-depth inspections of shipments to ensure they meet company standards, including detailed discrepancy reporting and follow-up.
  • Assist with or conduct root-cause analysis on discrepancies or inventory issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure organization, cleanliness, and safety of the receiving areas, including setting up best practices for efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate closely with logistics, procurement, and supply chain to coordinate deliveries and handle challenges.
  • Support the training and mentoring of material handlers and provide feedback for process improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in a receiving clerk, inventory control, or warehouse role, with expertise in inventory systems.
  • 3+ years of Forklift experience; standup experience required
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (such as SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external partners.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work any/all shifts as directed
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including Holidays and/or weekends
  • Standing/walking for long period of time
  • Must be an avid Safety Champion and adhere to all safety programs and procedures

Physical Requirements

  • A non-slip-resistant work shoe
  • Pre-shift stretch and exercises to be performed
  • Hair restraint, beard net (if needed), and Safety gloves as needed
  • All required PPEs are worn properly when working with equipment or chemicals that require personal protection
  • Position requires the ability to: stand, sit at a desk, walk around the facility, lift and carry up to 50-LBS unassisted, reaching, kneel, crawl, and twist.
  • Also requires the ability to: see, hear, and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette
