Fireplace Technician
Job Description
A Fireplace Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of fireplaces, wood stoves, gas inserts, and related systems. The role involves ensuring that all fireplace systems are functioning safely and efficiently, adhering to industry standards, local codes, and customer requirements.
MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. Must be willing to relocate to Calgary, AB. For the right candidate, we are willing to help with moving costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation:
- Install fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and chimney systems in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and building codes.
- Perform venting and gas line installations as needed.
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Conduct routine maintenance such as cleaning, inspecting, and servicing fireplaces and chimneys.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning fireplace components, including burners, pilot assemblies, and blowers.
- Inspection:
- Inspect fireplaces, chimneys, and related components for safety, efficiency, and code compliance.
- Identify potential hazards such as creosote buildup, cracks, or ventilation issues.
- Customer Service:
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues, provide recommendations, and outline repair or installation processes.
- Offer guidance on fireplace usage and maintenance.
