Job Description

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking/private equity/venture capital, corporate strategy, sales operations, or equivalent experience in a technology/media company.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Graduate degree in a quantitative, business, or a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in a Chief of Staff role, or a similar role requiring leadership of varied strategic and operational initiatives while working with executive leaders.
  • Ability to lead complex operational and strategic initiatives and to collaborate with ideas, energy and determination.
  • Ability to be an independent and strategic thinker.
  • Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication with strong presentation skills.

About the jobIn this role, you will partner with the Asia Pacific (APAC) President and play an important role in influencing strategy related to Google’s complex and ever-evolving business in APAC, as well as ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. You will operationalize and manage complex, multidisciplinary projects to execute on a goal or strategy, and play an instrumental role in bringing together stakeholders across multiple functions and managing project schedules, communications and deliverables.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google’s complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver strategic projects for executives in Large Customer Sales (LCS), work to set objectives, manage progress check ins and communications to the teams.
  • Plan and manage the LCS organisational set-up and resource allocation (Headcount and OPEX) across teams.
  • Collaborate, influence, and advise executive leaders across Google on key initiatives. Build strong relationships and connect with executive leaders in other areas to ensure alignment and collaboration. Be a trusted advisor and thought partner for leadership.
  • Implement frameworks to measure and improve the quality and maturity of business processes. Ensure APAC LCS has clear priorities, Objectives and Key Results (OKR), up-to-date roadmaps, and regular progress updates.
  • Lead communications across the organization, including announcements, events, and go-to-market activities. Establish regular processes for the team, ensure alignment on strategy among leaders, manage special projects, and handle escalations.
