Position Overview
The Senior Project Scheduler will play a vital role in planning and managing the successful execution of complex commercial construction projects. Based in Memphis, TN, this on-site position requires expertise in vertical construction and experience in handling large-scale projects. As a senior-level professional, you’ll be responsible for creating, analyzing, and maintaining project schedules to drive efficiency, ensure compliance, and meet client expectations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules with project teams and trade partners, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Produce conceptual schedules independently for refinement with stakeholders.
- Monitor, analyze, and update design deliverables, procurement schedules, and construction timelines.
- Review and critique vendor and subcontractor schedule updates, verifying progress and accuracy.
- Maintain a database of probable activity durations to enhance scheduling precision.
- Create baseline schedules using well-defined and properly sequenced work activities.
- Provide regular status updates, forecasts, and reports to stakeholders on project progress.
- Collaborate with project managers to identify and resolve delays, recommend workaround plans, and improve processes to maintain schedules.
- Understand and manage the logistics and flow required for successful project execution.
- Support ongoing projects by identifying opportunities for improvement and addressing critical areas.
- Perform additional duties as requested by project management.
Skills And Qualifications
- 7-10 years of industrial or commercial construction experience, with a strong focus on vertical construction (mid-rise, high-rise, data centers, or distribution centers).
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 for scheduling and project management.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP cost management tools.
- Expertise in programs like Excel and Word.
- Preferred Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Key Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Outstanding prioritization and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling in scheduling (preferred).
