Job Title: Sr. Electrical Engineer (Solar)
Location: Karnataka, India

Compensation Package:
The offered CTC will be determined based on the candidate’s past experience, previous employment history, and the current market standards.
Responsibilities:
Gather preliminary information for each specific project. Conduct site assessments to evaluate the feasibility of solar installations.
- Develop electrical systems for solar power installations, including PV systems, inverters, wiring, and grid connections.
- Develop detailed electrical plans, schematics, and layouts using CAD software, including single-line electrical drawings and site plans.
- Work closely with the procurement team to source the necessary components. Verify that the solar equipment choices are correct for the intended design goals.
- Perform complex electrical calculations for transformer ground fault currents and cable sizing.
- Perform/facilitate energy generation modelling for solar projects using PVSyst, Helioscope or PVWatts.
- Perform Installation and Commissioning of Solar Power Plant systems, DC cabling, AC Cabling, LT Panels, Transformer Connectivity
- Installation and Verification of Switch Gears for uploading of PV Plant generation
- Installation and Verification of any electrical systems required in a PV Plant
- Conduct system diagnostic and troubleshooting, provide operational support, and contribute to system enhancement initiatives.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders including construction team, utility companies, local authorities and contractors to ensure the successful installation and commissioning of solar systems.
- Provide technical expertise and support to project teams, contractors, and clients.
- Comply with all industry standards such as NEC, NABCEP guidelines and regulations concerning solar PV installations.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports as necessary.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV system components, including inverters, combiner boxes, transformers, grid connection and battery storage systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with experience in creating and reviewing electrical system drawings.
- Hands-on experience using simulation tools such as Helioscope, GIS, and PVSyst for system modelling, performance analysis, layout design and other design softwares.
- In-depth understanding of electrical codes, regulations (e.g., NEC), and standards specific to solar PV systems.
- Ability to conduct system performance assessments and identify optimization opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal teams, contractors, and clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
