Position Overview

The Senior Project Scheduler will play a vital role in the planning and execution of complex commercial construction projects. This position requires extensive experience in vertical construction and the ability to manage scheduling activities for large-scale projects. As a senior-level professional, you will be responsible for creating, analyzing, and maintaining detailed project schedules, ensuring efficient execution and alignment with project goals.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules with project teams and trade partners, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Produce conceptual schedules with minimal input for refinement by stakeholders.
  • Monitor and oversee design deliverables, procurement, and construction schedules, providing regular status updates.
  • Review and critique vendor and subcontractor schedule updates to verify progress and accuracy.
  • Maintain a database of probable activity durations to enhance scheduling accuracy and efficiency.
  • Create baseline schedules with well-defined and properly sequenced work activities.
  • Collaborate with project managers to resolve delays, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend workaround plans to maintain timelines.
  • Understand and manage the logistics and flow required for successful project execution.
  • Provide regular forecasts and progress reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by project management.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Required Experience:
    • 7-10 years of industrial or commercial construction experience, with a strong focus on vertical construction (mid-rise, high-rise, data centers, or distribution centers).
    • Proficiency in Primavera P6 for scheduling and project management.
    • Strong working knowledge of ERP cost management tools.
    • Expertise in programs like Excel and Word.
  • Preferred Education:
    • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Key Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Outstanding prioritization and organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach.
    • Familiarity with 3D modeling in scheduling(preferred).
