Job Description
Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Senior Supervisor will support and assist the SQA Manager in overseeing the implementation and coordination of the companys management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, Food Safety, Halal, and other applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. This role is critical in managing day-to-day quality operations and manufacturing activities at GBPI Toll Manufacturing plants, including off-shore locations, and serves as the primary Internal Audit Coordinator.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the SQA Manager in implementing and monitoring the companys quality management systems, policies, and programs to ensure adherence to ISO 9001, Food Safety, Halal, and other regulatory standards.
- Oversee and coordinate daily operations related to quality assurance in manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary Internal Audit Coordinator, leading internal audits to assess compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans based on audit findings.
- Monitor and evaluate production processes to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), and other quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality data and implementing best practices in quality management.
- Conduct training sessions for quality staff on quality standards, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of quality assurance activities, audit findings, and corrective actions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the SQA Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of 5S, cGMP, SSOP, ISO 9001, HACCP, HALAL, and relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in baking science and technology, sensory evaluation, statistical analysis, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven leadership and auditing capabilities.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Google Colab and other relevant software tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to work on a shifting schedule and adapt to operational demands.
