Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Salesman with experience in the jewellery industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting jewellery pieces, providing product knowledge, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience. A passion for sales and a good understanding of jewellery products are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Assistance:
    • Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding jewellery pieces that suit their preferences and budgets.
    • Provide detailed product information, including material, quality, and pricing.
    • Handle customer queries and offer suggestions to enhance their buying experience.
  • Sales and Targets:
    • Achieve individual and team sales targets by promoting and upselling jewellery items.
    • Develop strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Product Knowledge:
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of jewellery trends, designs, and specifications.
    • Explain features like gemstones, gold carats, diamond clarity, and certifications to customers.
  • Merchandising and Display:
    • Arrange and maintain attractive displays of jewellery pieces to maximize customer interest.
    • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low-stock items.
  • Billing and Documentation:
    • Assist customers with the billing process and ensure proper documentation for sales, including certificates and warranties.
  • Post-Sale Service:
    • Address customer concerns, handle repairs or exchanges, and ensure satisfaction post-purchase.
    • Follow up with customers for feedback and future business opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in jewellery sales or a similar role.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (a degree in business or related field is a plus).
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers.
    • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
    • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
    • Attention to detail, particularly in handling high-value items.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of jewellery products, including gold, diamonds, gemstones, and certifications.

Work Environment:

  • Must be comfortable working in a retail environment and dealing with high-value transactions.
  • May require standing for extended periods and handling delicate jewellery pieces.
