Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings.
- Handle accounts payable, receivable, and inventory accounting specific to pharmaceutical operations.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry regulations and accounting standards.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for audits and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze cost structures and pricing strategies related to pharmaceutical products.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, and other local regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial workflows and processes.
- Stay updated on pharmaceutical industry trends and their potential financial impact.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with a proven track record in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical inventory management, cost accounting, and tax compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
