ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- As Operations Owner Representative, seek inputs from Operations team and work very closely with Projects & Development team to evaluate and ensure projects delivered are safe to operate, operable, maintainable, fit-for-purpose with good quality of work.
- Manage all interfaces between the Operations team and Projects & Development team for all projects from conceptual stage to final investment decision. Subsequently engineering, procurement and construction, until the project is completed and handed over to the Operations Team.
- Ensure all projects execution does not affect the safety and reliability of Terminal. Proactive identification, mitigation and management of all potential operations risk to safety and reliability of the Terminal operations.
- Provide regular, accurate and comprehensive project progress reports and seek alignment with VP, Operations.
- Work with respective Operations Managers to develop appropriate resourcing plans for Terminal’s management of all projects and work with Human Resources on recruiting/acquiring or demobilizing as necessary all required resources.
- Managing and coordinating all project activities with the Operations team supporting the projects.
- Provide leadership, coaching and development of all reports (If any).
- Establish and maintain a positive, proactive working environment that encourages teamwork in a spirit of openness, honesty and integrity.

REQUIREMENTS

- The incumbent must have a degree in engineering discipline with a reputable University.
- The incumbent must have a minimum of 8 years operations experience and 5 years’ experience as project manager for the entire project phase of substantial ($>100 million) projects, preferably in the Chemical or Oil and Gas industry.
- Experience of LNG or other cryogenic processes would be beneficial.
- A good understanding of all engineering disciplines, procurement practices and construction drivers with the ability to make considered judgments to manage conflicts between them to deliver best project outcomes to meet operations needs.
- Understanding of management of change processes and their role in managing technical integrity.
- Leadership skills and track record of managing complex tasks in a team context.
- Motivated and goal-oriented, with the drive and commitment to deliver in line with targets.
- Excellent planning, organizational, budgeting, forecasting, cost and schedule control and risk management skills.
- Excellent communications and influencing skills, to all levels of management, authorities and other external stakeholders, and towards his/her team to motivate and align them with project goals.

GENERAL OVERVIEW

The incumbent will represent Terminal Operations to interface with Project & Development team. He/She will be Operations Owner Representative to ensure Projects delivered are safe to operate, operable, maintainable, fit-for-purpose with good quality of work. In addition, apply best practices and learnings from existing Terminal to all projects. He/She will also has overall responsibility for all projects from conceptual stage to final investment decision. Subsequently engineering, procurement and construction, until the project is completed and handed over to the Operations Team.
This position requires a candidate who has operations and project experiences to manage the delivery of EPC projects as Operations Owner Representative, preferably in the Chemical or Oil and Gas industry. He/She has to work with a multi-engineering discipline from both Operations and Project team.
