Job Description
Employment agency Manpower is looking for an Inbound Logistics Operations Warehousing Supervisor for Canon in Venlo.
As an Inbound Logistics Operations Warehousing Supervisor, you will drive process optimization by identifying improvements, creating actionable proposals, and implementing them with LEAN, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies, while contributing to 8D analyses as needed. You will oversee annual HR cycles, including task-setting, development discussions, and performance reviews. Additionally, you will collaborate with fellow Operations Supervisors to plan staffing levels and onboard new team members for seamless manufacturing and logistics operations.
You will also perform the following working activities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute daily operations within the internal logistics organization
- Ensure a safe workplace for staff by leading by example on the floor and collaborating with peers
- Apply lean manufacturing principles in capacity planning for a team of approximately 30 logistics operators and administrators
- Ensure timely supply of the assembly line with the right products at the right moments to maintain a seamless operation
- Develop short- and mid-term staffing plans and monitor continuity to ensure smooth operations
- Resolve issues by consulting with involved parties and using modern tools and methods for fast and efficient solutions
- Maintain health and safety standards at industry levels, with a zero-incident goal as the highest priority
- Coach and motivate the team to achieve set goals and targets
