Job Description
You will lead and manage a work group undertaking staff member workplace investigations under the Public Sector Act 2022, ensuring high standards of work practice in line with the QPS values of Integrity, Respect and Courage.
The Core Capability Requirements For This Role Are
- Lead a work group conducting workplace investigations.
- Apply the principles of human rights, natural justice and procedural fairness to conducting workplace investigations.
- Provide expert and strategic advice on staff member workplace investigations, including the preparation of strategic initiatives, policy responses, and briefings for senior executives.
- Build, influence and sustain partnerships and networks with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Exercise and apply sound administrative decision-making principles and implement processes to support the functions of the work group and organisational objectives.
- Identify systemic issues arising from the review of investigation reports and recommend strategies to address them.
- Oversee the thorough investigation and compilation of high-quality investigation reports.
- Maintain and comply with the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct including maintaining confidentiality of files and information relating to workplace investigations.
Other
- Relevant experience in discipline investigation processes and administrative decision making, would be highly regarded.
