Job Description
Siemens are looking for a Head of Operations to join our Smart Infrastructure Buildings division. You will define and implement the Operations strategy for UK and Ireland! You will drive excellence in both solutions and services for Siemens Buildings business and be responsible for operational governance across all segments and channels.
This role can be based anywhere in the UK, with travel across UK required to visit customer sites and Siemens offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the achievement of the Service and Solutions unit’s business goals in collaboration with the senior leadership team.
- Develop and implement strategies in both projects and service to optimise efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure the implementation of Siemens corporate standards and guidelines in both project and service execution.
- Drive automation and offshoring activities in coordination with the global and local Building business strategy.
- Guide, support, and maintain internal interfaces to other business types (e.g. Product, Solutions, etc.) and external interface (customer and supplier feedback) to adjust workflows or operational activities.
- Continuously control project status through a structured review process with respect to goal achievement, potential risks, and change requests; and take appropriate measures to keep projects on track.
- Build relationships with key customers at senior and Director levels.
- Actively gather and leverage information to understand current and emerging customer business priorities, problems, expectations, and needs.
- Mentor employees to maximise their own performance potential; planning and supporting the development of individual skills.
- Establish systems and processes to attract, develop, engage, and retain talented individuals; creating a work environment where people can realise their full potential
Build on your existing skills and experience, including:
- Knowledge of the Building automation market sector and experience with our products and solutions to implement services and solutions
- Experience leading effective teams, training and guiding others
- Ability to inspire and motivate colleagues
- Has up-to-date practical experience in project management methodology
