Duties

  • Responsible for the coordination of all aspects of the funding, budget review, and preparation of presentations for various types of Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF) authorizations.
  • Ensure appropriate usage of funding during execution, monitors expenditures, and advises program managers of progress and finally for facilitating the financial closure of orders in coordination with customers.
  • Ensure fund availability, correctness of accounting citations, and fiscal propriety of transactions and the application of all Federal Appropriations law, Comptroller General decisions, and regulatory provisions to the fund certification process.
  • Provide advice and assistance to the Budget Officer in the certification of appropriated funds ensuring the administrative control of funds to preclude and prevent violations of statutory or administrative limitations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes contributing to the planning, coordination and implementation of program budgets to explain the impact of various changes; processing budget forms, reports and schedules to meet requirements; applying the practices, methods, guidance and regulations of budget execution to determine proper application of funds and proper execution of funded programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone–no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

  • This position is under the Acquisition Demonstration Project. The NH-03 broadband incorporates former (GS equivalents) GS-12 step 1 through GS-13 step 10 grade levels and salary levels.
