New Balance are offering a 1 year paid undergraduate placement to an undergraduate student, currently in penultimate year of study, with a passion for Marketing and Football. The role will support the Global Football Brand Marketing team in their work to deliver consumer-facing marketing campaigns.

Training and support will be given and you will gain a broad knowledge of a global brand.

This Placement opportunity will start on Monday 16th June 2025 and will be based in the Head Office (Warrington) full time.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Marketing

  • Work with the Marketing Manager to deliver marketing campaigns for the football category
  • Support the creation of football boot campaigns by collaborating with external agencies
  • Creating social media plans and securing internal approvals
  • Provide input and insight into NB football social content plans across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X. Plus emerging social media platforms. Support on community engagement across channels
  • Setup, lead and creatively input into weekly and monthly social media meetings
  • Upload marketing content to our asset management portal, Widen
  • Support on if-win planning and activation for our players and clubs
  • Use Asana, our project management tool to organise projects and campaigns
  • Support launch summaries by creating reports to detail key social media stats and metrics

Product, Photoshoots and Communication

  • Support on ordering and organising product for photoshoots, events and activations
  • Data entry responsibility, to upload key information such as launch dates and product styles to central systems
  • Support on seeding of product to reviewers
  • Organise the signed merchandise inventory and ship items to key internal stakeholders

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Studying towards a Bachelors degree in a relevant subject:
    • Marketing or Business
  • Must be able to provide right to work in the UK
  • Strong passion for football and the football industry with proven interest in the sport
  • Experience in and strong interest in using social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to cope in a fast paced environment
  • Continuous improvement mindset with desire to take on new projects and development opportunities
  • High level of attention to detail and a team player
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Results driven and action-orientated – follows through to conclusion on all projects/commitments
  • Some travel may be required
