Salary Range: $29.60 – $47.47 Hourly
General Summary
The Histotechnologist prepares slides for histologic and cytologic diagnosis using various techniques, performs routine and special stains, and maintains records. Responsibilities include compliance with accreditation standards, timely task completion, inventory management, assisting coworkers, and training new employees.
Required Education: Certificate in Histotechnology or relevant academic credits, plus one year of experience in a histopathology lab. Preferred: Bachelors in Biology and certification as a Histotechnician or Histotechnologist.
