Job Description
Mechanical Engineering Principles, ASME, API, HVAC codes, Plant & Machinery Management, Revamping of respective process equipment / rotating equipment / heat exchangers/API tanks, Engineering Software, Material of construction, Metallurgy , Insulation and painting,
Role & Responsibilities
- Technical Design & Process Approvals
- Create / review detailed engineering deliverables for the rotating equipment including stress, strength, thermal & fluid analysis.
ii.Manage complex issues with stake holders and facilitate technical discussion and provide decisions.
iii.Contribute in formation and development of design guides and standards.
iv.Check and review the quality of designs and ensure alignment with the code as per the calculations and drawings.
- Policies, Processes & Procedures
- Assist in defining the scope of work for Rotating equipment detailed engineering basis the project requirements and specifications
ii.Develop the detailed technical specifications for Static / Rotating / Packaging / HVAC equipment, outlining design parameters, operating conditions and other relevant factors
iii.Stay updated with industry trends, technology and practices for the adoption of best practices
iv.Implement new initiatives / projects as per the established policies, procedures and guidelines to meet the future demands
- Develop Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) that include technical details, compliance specifications, deviations and recommendations for vendor selection
vi.Prepare comprehensive documentation of detailed engineering activities, including design calculations, technical reports, and inspection records
- Mechanical Engineering & Project Management
- Lead large and critical projects ; prepare plans and ensure their successful completion within the set timelines and quality standards
ii.Formulate work efficiency enhancement and error minimization measures
iii.Liaise with project managers, vendors, contractors to facilitate smooth flow of information for use in preparing detailed design and provide detailed design clarifications and solutions
iv.Collaborate with construction teams and contractors to ensure that the installation of rotating equipment aligns with the overall project schedule and requirements
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., civil, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure proper integration and alignment of the rotating equipment within the overall project.
vi.Manage approval of site engineering request
Education
Bachelors of Engineering/ Technology (Mechanical Preferred)
