Job Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Remote Mental Health Counselor/Therapist, where you will play a vital role in supporting clients through their mental health challenges. We are looking for a compassionate and qualified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who can deliver exceptional therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and evaluations to gauge clients’ needs and aspirations.
  • Craft and execute individualized treatment plans that align with best practices and the specific requirements of each client.
  • Facilitate individual, couples, and family therapy utilizing established therapeutic techniques such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based practices.
  • Document and monitor client progress in compliance with ethical and professional standards.
  • Uphold confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines consistently.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals and service providers to ensure holistic care.
  • Engage in regular supervision and continuous training to enhance clinical competence and support professional advancement.
  • Stay informed on the latest mental health research and trends, incorporating new insights into practice.
  • Provide crisis intervention when necessary, offering crucial support during challenging times.
  • Establish and maintain a secure, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment for all clients.
  • Participate in outreach and educational initiatives to foster mental health awareness in the community.

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Active LPC or LCSW licensure in Michigan, with no current restrictions.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience preferred, with a solid foundation in various therapeutic methodologies.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based interventions, including CBT, DBT, and mindfulness practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of building trust and rapport with clients.
  • Collaborative mindset and adaptability in working alongside other health care professionals.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous.
  • A dedication to cultural competence and the ability to effectively engage with diverse populations.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Active LPC or LCSW licensure in Michigan.
