Responsibilities:

  • Review and edit rough draft transcripts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to formatting standards.
  • Utilize AutoScript Desktop and other industry-standard software to correct errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and legal terminology.
  • Manage multiple transcription projects simultaneously, maintaining strict adherence to deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with transcriptionists, proofreaders, and legal professionals to ensure transcript integrity.
  • Interpret and apply complex legal transcription guidelines and client specifications to each document.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent listening skills and high proficiency in English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Desired:

  • Proven experience as a Scopist, preferably within the legal transcription industry.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and a strong understanding of the legal transcription process and document formats.
  • Proficient in using transcription software such as AutoScript Web and AutoScript Desktop, with a strong ability to adapt to new technologies.

Experience:

  • Certification from a recognized legal transcription or scoping program is highly advantageous.
