The Clinical Education Programs is responsible for the overall coordination of clinical education programs at assigned facility(s). Manages program development and logistics and ensures regulatory compliance for all assigned program(s). Maintains and assists in the creation of relevant policies and procedures. Tracks outcomes, data collection, and quality improvement efforts. Responsible for successfully translating program requirements to operational requirements. Serves as a conduit between the patient, physicians, and hospital teams to gather, analyze, interpret, clarify, and develop program requirements. Performs research and system analysis to support business operations. Understands a wide range of business processes including knowledge of systems and procedures, applications, policies, and standards. Implements strategies, processes, and standards to ensure that operations supports key program initiatives such as quality of care, patient safety, and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Director, Education, assists with the development and management of Clinical Education programs. Acts as a liaison between program and business operations to properly align program design with operational processes. Effectively manages stakeholder expectations through appropriate collaboration and communication. Coordinates committee meetings, staff Clinical Education, program promotion, and clinical education classes.
  • Monitors program effectiveness and performance to identify and resolve potential problems and report critical findings to peers and/or management. Leads or actively participates in the resolution of complex problems and ensures there are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensures quality improvement activities are completed and recommends / implements changes as appropriate. Assumes responsibility for quality assurance data and participates in the collection and evaluation of quality improvement data (including reporting). Monitors internal controls and seeks to resolve issues in a timely manner. Provides audits of activities and documentation. Develops Clinical Education performance improvement project annually.
  • Maintains records related to operations and services that are complete, accurate, available, and in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Ensures Infection Control procedures and HIPAA compliance.
  • Collaborates with staff and members of the healthcare team; ensuring the coordination of services between hospital operations and program needs. Serves as a source of program information, articulately responds to questions, and coordinates program resources for program participants. Maintains a positive working relationship with employees, physicians, and hospital teams in order to effectively and efficiently resolve or triage program requests or issues in a timely manner. Leads and/ or actively participates in program coordination and decision-making processes. Demonstrates sound decision making.
  • Oversees contract labor; including appropriate credentialing, orientation and evaluation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
  • At least two (2) year of experience as a Program Coordinator or Program Specialist for an education programs at an acute care hospital or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the need for the discretion of all confidential and EPHI (Electronic Protected Health Information) HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to promote and maintain good interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrates effective problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills with Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational, presentation, and customer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business or Healthcare-related field preferred.

Pay Range: Min – $73,300 | Max – $98,043
