Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

What will I be doing?

  • Compiles, interprets, defines and analyses business processes, business requirements, specifications and other recommendations related to the proposed solution to determine optimal deployment strategy
  • Develops and implement change management strategies based on situational awareness of the business process or technology improvements, and the groups being impacted
  • Developing and implementing actionable and targeted change management plans (e.g., communication plan, sponsor implementation roadmap, coaching plan, and training plan) to support business improvement initiatives
  • Develop and implement structured change management approaches and methodologies to produce successful adoption
  • Leads or participates in project teams implementing the approved solutions; leading the transformation process by using influencing and communication skills to minimize any disruption caused by the change
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to integrate change management activities into overall project plans; works with all staff levels to investigate business activities, exchange information, and coordinate project activities; works with senior management to clarify direction, report progress, and obtain approvals
  • Influences objectives and methods of business offices throughout the organization; recommends improvement of business processes and functions and changes to business procedures and policies
  • Facilitates the adoption of new or improved cross-functional processes and procedures to realize cost efficiencies, improved customer service, streamline work methods, and reduce errors
  • Develop, implement and report on program offerings that support teams becoming high performing

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?

  • Completion of a degree in business administration or a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent?
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing change management plans for large-scale transformation projects, or other organizational initiatives that impact people, process or technology
  • Strong communication and engagement skills, including writing and presentation skills that are adaptable to a wide audience across an organization?
  • Change Management or Project Management certifications are considered an asset (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci, PMP)
  • Ability to manage and minimize disruption caused by business transformation
  • Quantitative and analytical skills, including process and workflow analysis
