IP Associate (4th to 8th year), Biological Sciences
Our client is a top national firm with a strong presence in biotechnology and life sciences. We are seeking an IP Associate for its highly-ranked IP practice in Boston. Compensation for this role in Massachusetts is between $255 to $390k.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in drafting & prosecuting patent applications, evaluating patent portfolios, and performing due diligence investigations.
- Strong technical background in biological sciences (e.g., molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, or related field), with a Ph.D. or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in drafting and prosecuting patents for biotech and pharmaceutical innovations Excellent academic credentials, as well as excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
- Admission to practice before the USPTO and the state bar of Massachusetts (or willingness to become admitted).
- Foreign language skills are a plus, although not required.
Our clients Boston office is heavily connected to the thriving biotech hub in the region, and in this role, you will focus on cutting-edge innovations and high-stakes IP matters. This post is not limited to Boston and attorneys based in Boston, Philadelphia, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, New Jersey and Miami will be considered.
