Detailed Job Description
The QA Tester will be responsible for executing various testing methodologies, identifying bugs, and working closely with developers to ensure the final product meets all required specifications and quality standards. You will test software, identify issues, document findings, and contribute to the overall improvement of product quality.
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct manual and automated tests on software applications to ensure they meet performance and quality standards.
- Identify, document, and track software bugs and issues using bug-tracking systems.
- Collaborate with the development team to reproduce issues and suggest fixes.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform regression, functional, performance, and usability testing.
- Ensure thorough test coverage and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code review sessions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and testing tools.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in software testing or QA-related roles.
- Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Jira, or similar software is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with both manual and automated testing processes.
- Understanding of databases and basic SQL for data validation.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
