Summary
A machine operator is responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery in a manufacturing or production environment. They are crucial in ensuring equipment’s smooth and efficient operation to meet production targets and quality standards. Machine operators typically work in the manufacturing, construction, automotive, food processing, and packaging industries.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Operate and control machinery
- Set up machines before production runs
- Monitor machine operations to ensure they run smoothly and adjust as needed to maintain optimal production output, quality, and efficiency.
- Record and maintain accurate production data, such as machine settings, output quantities, downtime, and other relevant information in logs or computer systems.
- Material handling, ensuring the availability and proper handling of raw materials, supplies, or components required for machine operation. This includes loading and unloading materials onto the machine or production line.

Education And Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
- Previous experience as a machine operator
- Manufacturing experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proper PPE to be worn on job sites, including work-appropriate long pants and steel toe/composite toe shoes or boots.
- Manual dexterity
