About This Role
- You will Analyze, review, and make professional recommendations for the allocation and distribution of revenues and expenditures for assigned County agencies and outside contributory agencies.
- You will provide fiscal and operational oversight for County agencies throughout the fiscal year.
- You will provide advice on organizational and developmental performance and productivity improvements, conducting program evaluation.
- You will develop, present and defend findings and recommendations.
- You will have special projects or manage assigned focus areas that are necessary to complete budget development and implementation (for example, state revenue coordination).
To be successful, you will have technical expertise in a variety of analysis (statistical, forecasting), in addition to technical software expertise and experience in enterprise database systems (specifically, Oracle EPM Cloud/Hyperion).
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or G.E.D. and 6 years of related budget analysis experience.
Preferences
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field such as economics, public policy, statistics, accounting or analytics
- Professional work experience in local government budget analysis
- Extreme focus on providing highest level of customer service to multiple stakeholders
- Experience with analyses specific to collective bargaining
- Oracle EPM Cloud/Hyperion, Smart View, and Microsoft Excel experience
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday with some evenings and weekends from January – May. Primarily telework, but there is a need to attend some meetings in person within and around Prince William County.
Starting Salary Range: $76,070 – $97,850
