The Franklin Apartment Manager is responsible for performing administrative and office support activities for the Damar Franklin Apartments and their tenants. These activities include providing welfare checks to tenants, receiving and directing visitors, communicating with guardians, scheduling community activities, coordinating outings with Damar village tenants, and provide tenant assistance as needed.

Remarkable way you will make a difference…

  • Serves as a liaison between Damar Franklin Apartment activities and Damar Village.
  • Works collaboratively with Damar Village Manager on tenant engagement in the community.
  • Provide transportation as needed for occupants to engage in community outings.
  • Manages scheduled community events by assisting with making reservations, configuring rooms to host’s specifications and maintaining appearance of the rooms.
  • Responsible for upkeep and cleanliness of the property and help ensure safety for occupants.
  • Maintains supplies inventory for any on site activities for the occupants.
  • Assists immediate supervisor in researching office purchases and provides cost analysis for approval.
  • Provides assistance to occupants for maintenance issues.
  • Assist with client needs when necessary.

What You Need To Be Considered…

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Hospitality experince preferred.
  • Experience working with individual with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications including: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, telephone systems, calculators, copiers and facsimile machines.
  • 18 years of age.
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical.
  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.

Essential Job Functions

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
