Job Description
Orlando Health’s Alabama region is seeking a Manager of Talent Development to manage a team of professional talent development consultants responsible for the effective coordination, planning and evaluation of systems and programs to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in talent development, learning and performance. Manages staff, workflow, operations and approving budget expenditures for department. Manages and/or recommends various personnel actions including staff selection, work assignments, training and performance evaluations; develops team members by establishing expectations, providing coaching and feedback.
Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm; flexible
- This role requires 35%-40% travel*
Responsibilities
- Manages, designs and implements learning and talent development strategies, processes and programs, while ensuring alignment and support of Orlando Health’s strategic direction and business systems.
- Builds organizational capability by leading a team focused on executing a talent development strategy.
- Manages and participates with a team of talent development professionals who are responsible for learning facilitation, performance, coaching, leadership, engagement and career development.
- Manages staff, workflow, operations and approves budget expenditures for the Talent Development team.
- Leads the development and implementation of improved learning, talent development & performance capabilities through change management, organizational design, individual and team development to achieve organizational objectives.
- Develops, evaluates and enhances Orlando Health’s talent development programs, to include the development and use of organizational and functional competencies aligned with the organization’s strategy.
- Develops and aligns talent development programs with organization’s goals.
- Develops, evaluates and enhances Orlando Health’s corporate learning policies, procedures and practices. Ensures consistent process development and evaluation across all learning programs to ensure measurable results, efficiency in learning administration and operations, and effectiveness of transfer of learning.
- Collaborates with other HR and operational managers on a variety of issues including retention, engagement, employee relations and addressing work culture issues to achieve maximum organizational effectiveness.
- Develops annual operating goals and objectives for area of responsibility.
- Ensures appropriate accountability for the implementation of plans and change initiatives.
- Partners with leadership to identify talent development processes that can be enhanced through the use of technology-based solutions. Articulates the value of talent development and performance development technology.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

- Assists other HR functions and the departments that she/he supports on an as needed basis.
Qualifications
Education/Training
Bachelor’s degree.
Master’s preferred.
Licensure/Certification
SHRM, PHR, and/or CPLP preferred.
Experience
- Five (5) years of experience in organization development or human resources is required to include three (3) years of experience in a leadership position.
- Demonstrated expertise in executive/leadership assessment, development, succession planning, and performance management with a proven track record of implementing processes that have increased organization bench strength.
- Demonstrated expertise in performance management, learning management and administration, and talent development.
