Unbricked Communications is a growing marketing and events agency that delivers creative solutions for businesses across a wide variety of industries. At Unbricked, we strive to become an extension of our client’s business, fully immersing ourselves in their industries, goals and unique requirements. Our design work also includes event-related projects, such as designing tradeshow spaces and event collaterals.

This fully remote position offers the opportunity to lead development of creative projects for digital, print, social media, events and more. The Creative Director will manage our creative team of full-time employees and part-time contractors while also designing projects of his or her own.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead our creative team in developing a variety of projects including branding, logo design, web design, presentations, video, layout, and event graphics.
  • Assign projects to and manage timelines for the creative team.
  • Actively create deliverables and have an in-depth understanding of design principles and creative production processes.
  • In collaboration with Unbricked project managers/writers, event producers and clients, ensure alignment of creative efforts with client objectives and current trends.
  • Cultivate a team-oriented environment by encouraging open communication, brainstorming, and the sharing of ideas while also providing constructive feedback.
  • Mentor members of the creative team and support their professional growth.
  • Articulate creative concepts and strategies to both clients and internal teams while ensuring each creative project meets client’s goals and objectives.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and ensuring all deliverables meet high-quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, multimedia design, or similar field; demonstration of comparable technical and professional skills and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum five years of professional experience within a marketing agency or in-house marketing team. Strong preference for those with prior people management responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a portfolio showcasing your creative vision, designs across various mediums and impact of your leadership.
  • Strong knowledge in layout and composition, typography and color theory with perceptive attention to aesthetics and fine details.
  • Strong understanding of B2B/B2C marketing and communication principles.
  • Familiarity with the requirements and specifications for both print and digital mediums.
  • Organizational and time-management skills for consistently meeting deadlines.
  • An extremely critical eye for details and excellent proofreading skills are a *must* as this position will be responsible for ensuring quality of all creative assets.

At least five years of experience with the following:

  • Adobe Creative Suite such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • MS Office Suite such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Project management tools such as Asana and Slack.
  • Website platforms and design tools such as WordPress, Webflow, Adobe XD and Figma.
  • Demonstrated skills in using data and analytics to inform creative decisions and solve design challenges.

Candidates must be located in the United States and available during the day Monday through Friday. There is a slight preference for candidates located in North Carolina or Kansas.
