The incumbent will work with a group of talented project management professionals that support our executive team, business developers, and operational leaders in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position will work with project teams to develop key project schedules with a variety of complexity levels. The incumbent in this role will monitor and report on status and analyze changes for key risk areas and milestones impact. You will be part of a dedicated project management and business development team that supports development in many verticals within the Carolinas.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Work with and train the project team to develop new project schedules for moderately complex projects using scheduling software. Assist with revising forecasts and project impact analysis. Communicate status of schedule progress and key risk areas to members of project management team.
- Ensure project schedules are properly maintained.
- Perform schedule analysis to include critical activities, risk areas, key milestones and significant changes to schedule. Develops “what if” scenarios to explore alternate sequencing to mitigate or avoid schedule delays.
- Assist with claims related analysis using contractor claims, delay cost estimates, and time impacts, when necessary.
- Prepare executive level reporting from schedules including earned value analysis.
- Detailed review of contractor submittal schedules, including baseline and progress updates.
- Ability and willingness to train and guide operations staff in sound scheduling development, tracking, and updating.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree or previous work experience in Construction Management – Preferred
- 5+ years of experience in scheduling in construction industry – Required
- Strong organizational skills – Required
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and monitor activities to meet strict deadlines – Required
- Demonstrated ability to develop and self-manage activities necessary to achieve results -Required
- Experience with the scheduling Phoenix or P6 software – required
